Some very interesting part numbers on these pages. Many unique small parts that were never in the P&A regular pages. In the early 70's, we ordered/received almost all of the small misc parts because we were building these engines from parts in addition to blueprinting complete LS-7 engine assy's. Many of the Pro Stock guys were using these as a basic starting point for their week to week motors, although everyone used aluminum heads so there was a constant supply of new iron big port OC heads floating around.

Concerning the LJ-2 proposed option, I once saw a full set of Holley tri-power
carbs with 1970 production dates. These were reported to be prototypes for
what I now know was the LJ-2. I always wondered about these carbs and whether
or not they were real. Seems to me that I recall seing Holley part numbers in
an old Holley book for these carbs as well.

I wish I could remember where I saw them..... If real, I'd love to own them as
a piece of history - huh?

        Steve,

I got the factory heat shield for those tripower carbs! Wish you had them too!

          Warren !

          This is very interesting.

Got a picture of that heat shield? I had my hands on one of those about 2
years ago ( eBay ) and it got away from me. Oddest thing I ever saw. A guy
in PA had it on the Bay and I thought it was strange that it had a GM part
number but no one knew if it was stock or not. Love to hear more.

That heat shield was to be part of the NA9 option for the LJ2.
