I am looking to purchase the correct carb. tags. I have contacted a man in Minnesota who make repro. tags. He claims that there were never original tags made in May (E). My s/n is 3544, all of my casting dates, radiator etc. are E or F. Is an F tag too late for the carbs or the D too early?

My 54 is S/N 3279, and a very original car (1 owner from 1954 to 2005). The original tags are an "F". The Birthday calculator indicates my 54 was built around June 1. Since your was build after mine, I think the F tags should work for you just fine.
