Re: Pictures
Mike, I am not claiming they are or they are not...
Here is where I got them
1957 e57s100834 12/1/1977 Vette Vues
1957 e57s100834 4/1/1979 Corvette Restorer
1957 e57s100834 10/1/1986 Corvette Restorer
1957 e57s103831 4/1/1985 Vette Vues Owner: Bill Timberlake
1957 e57s103831 5/1/1985 Vette Vues Owner: Bill Timberlake
As you can see the references they are pretty old. Not a whole lot of incentive to create one in 1977... or 85 for that matter.

Re: Page numbers
Eric..it is on page 52 as a word ad.. thanks....
The 1956 Bill Mitchell SR2 was custom designed with a cold air intake...and ran Sebring in 1957 as a cold air intake fuelie. Not to be confused with the more typical production air box generally seen on the 43 or so production cars made mostly in June/July/August of '57.
The air box was determined not to be effective long before the 43 production cars were built.
Few would know that in Jan of 1957 when Fred Warner..Corvettes first publicity man..started taking orders for the air box cars at the SCCA convention in Michigan.
