1963 Delco horns

I know this is not NCRS correct, but I would like to modify a set of 1963 Chevrolet (non-Corvette) Delco horns to fit on my 63 until I can locate a pair of Delco 455-456 horns. I hope to have the 63 project on the road with in the next thirty days.

Would anyone have pictures of the mounting brackets for the 455-456 1963 horns?

pick up some delco horns off an early 70's caddy at the local junk yard, place them alongside the core support of your 63 and determine the correct position of the horn brackets which will allow the direction of the horns outlet to remain unexposed to the elements. then drill out the three spot wleds of the bracket to horn body(don't drill clear thru into horn chamber). then mig weld the brackets to their new position. you may want to practice drilling the three spot welds on some non-functioning horns till you get the hang of not drilling into the horn chamber. mike
