1963 Battery

I am about ready to fire the 340HP 1963 engine for the first time, (after rebuild). I would like to install a Delco battery prior to installing all hoses, tank and antifreeze for the cooling system and I do not want to use a restoration battery. What is the Delco battery of choice and would you have a Delco part number?

IMO most batteries of a given Group from a given manufacturer are the same internally. The higher warranty periods just increase the price, and the only difference is labeling.

All C1 and C2 Corvettes use a Group 24 battery.

If the link doesn't work just go to www.acdelco.com input your vehicle (1966 is the oldest year it will accept, but '63 uses the same Group battery), and search "battery".
