This is my friends original black 57 never been touched , he got it new , may help people that ask me how the color line meet at the dash ends and other places . Correct for any two tone color.
The two white spots is the camera flash.
No rubber behind door switch and is brown color
By the way that's what a real original header soft top weatherstripping looks like,(soft rubber with a round filler in the center hiding the screws.) It starts from the side center door window left to the other side center window one piece unit which is cloth covered at the window rubber and past but stops at the front corners that no one repro's 56 to 60.
That is the reason many restored Corvettes leak by using the wrong second design weatherstripping that NCRS judges look FOR and say is original.

RBCR is invaluable and I look forward to your posts. This is useful info to me as the old 57 is slowly comming to life and not all the borders between the aztec copper and shoreline beige are clear. To ask for more would be ingratious but please keep them comming.
Some ideas on how to convert a passenger powerglide tail housing to accomodate the auto shifter would be great.

Roy..is this a radio car..and if so..do you have a picture of the rear trunk partition..(not the cardboard)

Does the car have long or short rain gutters. weep hole or no weep hole in the gas filler area?

Sounds like my kind of car. 3-spd or 4-spd. are the original kick panels in place? what type of carpeting and color..red or black? Are the carpet screws still in place?

Etc..

The 57 black original paint is a three speed one carb delete radio and heater no hard top.Just a base 57. All original red carpet trunk mat and all. Had black wall tires.
Short rain gutters and bad looking weep hole.
She gave it to her son last year she was 69, he said he really wonted it to keep and then sold it a week later.

Take the tail housing to a boat yard were they know how to weld cast iron and have them add the bosses to hold the shifter.
You can e-mail me any time asking what ever you like,( I might? have the answer) many do for 55 , I have 40 -55 Corvette guys around the world where we correspond with each other all the time , many don't like using NCRS forum and many don't even know about NCRS.I meet many through E-Bay
