    C 1 Steering Column

    Was the 1959 steering column painted before of after it was installed? Is the bracket that holds it on painted black or interior color?

      The steering column (which was part of the steering gear) was painted before it was installed in the body. Dunno offhand about the color of the U-bracket, but it was also painted prior to installation.
