'59 buy back

Looks like the owner bought back his own car at Barrett and now is re-selling it at Bloomington gold. Hopefully the engine will start this time.

How about the 57 white conv. air box car. If there is only one which seller says this one was at BJ.

I watched this car go through B-J. I couldn't believe it. It blew through really fast, very little info, no hype and the less than knowledgeable announcers gave no details. They obviously had no clue of what this car really was. If I recall the similar cars that went through later, without Big Brakes were in the $150K range. No wonder it was probably a buy-back.

Didn't help any that the harmonic damper came loose in the staging area and they had to push it up and across the ramp rather than chance having it come off and take out the radiator . That's a terrific car, and it's real.

Nope, there are two different cars - the "Rex" '58 project we did with "Corvette Enthusiast" magazine two years ago was built up from pieces of several different cars and was the subject of many features in the magazine as it was built; it's still at Paragon, and is Steve's wife's car (as it was from the beginning). The car that had the harmonic damper problem at B-J was the "Mr. Big" Paragon project car, which is a restored real '59 big-brake car.
