    T3 bulbs w/o DOT ?

I am down to minor things on my pre judging checklist. Does anyone make T3 headlights without DOT markings ? or is this like the tires without DOT markings, pre 1981 ??

A couple vendors do sell the repro T-3's without the vertical lines in the triangle. Maybe someone else will know exactly what vendor's sell them. They have a tiny DOT off to the side, but it's impossible to see without the headlight being out of the holder. PT

        I Believe You Will Find...

...All reproduction T3's will display the DOT letters, even though they are quite small and "off to the side"... and all those I have seen, that DOT marking is visible as installed. But, for only 3/4500 points, they may be the way to go for most players.

You really have to be looking for it on the Lectric Limited ones, but it is there.

My Guess Is That LL Is The...

...Only current player out there for new T3's. The market for these headlamps does have some limitations... I'm glad they stepped up. DC

              LL T3's are great ,BUT.....

they are sold only in complete sets of 4! If one burns out, they make you buy another complete set. You can't buy just one lamp! This is what I understand, anyway.

john has them as well as the local junkyards with 50's and 60's cars. as dipstick noted, all repo's have DOT designation thereon(its the law). go junkyarding. avoid lite bulbs with a blue/black tint in the uppper 25% of the bulb's inards. mike
