        Be very carefull with the goof off product , it could remove your paint, mcguiars bug and tar works very, very well.

            I was driving my '86 through Missouri on vacation one year and was forced to drive on a newly tarred section of road. I stopped at an auto parts store and got a can of standard bug and tar remover. I used almost the whole can as the bottom half of the coupe was really covered. It came off fine and even today the finish is just like the rest of the car.
