1957 Heater Blower Control Knob Resistor

The wire-wound resistor on my heater control knob (which runs the blower motor) is cooked and I need to replace it. Does anyone know what the correct resistance would be for a replacement?

    Thanks,

Oops. Searched the archives and the following came up:

I just checked mine and got 2.7 ohms. Seems lower than what I would have expected. The resistor on this one looks real crusty. After I clean it, I'll let you know.

If anyone knows different, please advise, but I will assume its 2.7 ohms unless I hear an update.

    Thanks,
    David
