    '67 Steering column

Rebuilding my steering column for a '67 non tele, went to order a new turn signal switch and found out they are discontinued. What I need is the bearing that goes in the switch, is the bearing made into the switch? If not, were can I get the bearing?

    Thanks

    Re: '67 Steering column

You lost me. I just finished rebuilding mine a couple weks ago and do not recall any bearing in the switch assembly. There is an upper steering column bearing that fits inside the upper pot metal bearing retainer that the plastic switch assembly fits onto. Is that the bearing you are looking for, if so, it's just called an upper bearing. LICS supply has them.

There is no bearing component to the switch assembly. No component part of the switch assembly was ever available from GM or, as far as I know, any other source. The 67-68 turn signal switch is GM-discontinued and is currently not reproduced. It may be reproduced in the future. I understand that a reproduction source is able to reproduce most of the switch components, but there are some that they are unable to manufacture or otherwise obtain. I suppose when they "overcome this obstacle" they will manufacture and offer these switches.
