65 Rubber Brake Lines

Hello Everyone,
I'm in the process of rebuilding the chassis on my 65 and was wondering if anyone could give an accurate description of the original rubber brake lines going into the calipers. I think I have 3 originals--no SAE markings--and one replacement (SAE stamped). Also, is there an accurate reproduction available and what is a good source on that.

The LAST thing you want on your car is "original" brake hoses - they're a primary safety item. Most of the vendors have new, functionally correct replacements.

I absolutely agree. I would never use an old brake hose on a driven car, even if the hose was NOS. Period. There is no hose sold today which has crimps anything like the originals, so there is no point in even looking for them.

Besides, as a safety item, I think that the brake hoses are "exempt" from judging as to these details. They do, of course, have to be black rubber and generally configured as-original though.
