    62 frame rear x member

    I have a 62 frame appears original I'm the first to take the body off. No crash damage in rear of car. The very rear cross member is riveted on as expected. And on the drivers side is also welded. Weld bead is along inside corner in front edge only. Back edge not welded. The other side is not welded. I don't think this is typical.... coments please. Anyone else ever come across this?

      Gene, I believe that both front sides edges of the Crossmember" are welded to the side rails. Regards,
