    '78 L82 choke stove

the aluminum choke hose and the inner and outer choke stove pieces that go on the exhaust manifold are missing on my '78 L82.
I see DocRebuild has the hose and the outer choke stove piece but the inner choke stove piece is listed as discontinued.
i looked in a number of other vendor catalogs and can't find it listed anywhere.

Anyone know a source for this piece?

At the present time, "used" (or, NOS if you can find it) is your only option for this piece. Try the normal used parts sources like Pacific Corvette of Puyallup, WA or Contemporary Corvette of Bristol, PA. The piece you're looking for is GM #3946832.

Also, you can check out local salvage yards. You won't find too many Corvettes there. However, you don't need to. The piece you are looking for was also used on 1968 Chevrolet passenger cars with automatic transmission and small block. More than a few of those were made and there are probably some still around.

      Thanks Joe!
yep, I was coming to the same conclusion that I'd have to find a used one somewhere and just refinish it.
Contemporary Corvettes in Bristol, PA is only about an hour away so figured I was going to end up having to check with them.
I was there a few months ago when a friend was looking for a piece for his '79.
Was really neat getting to walk thru the whole place and just seeing vette after vette after vette lined up. old, wrecked, rotting away and all it was still a neat sight!

They have a lot of late model C3's so hopefully they will have the part

        Joe
thanks for the help. I called both places the other day. Contemporary didn't have it but Pacific Corvettes did. In fact they had one "set" which was both the inner and outer pieces plus the screws together. Only $50.00 for the whole thing (just the outer piece alone is $45.00 for Dr. Rebuild).
They said the parts were in excellent condition, had been media blasted so they looked real good so I grabbed it.

        Thanks!
