'73 Nose Job

My '73 needs a nose job.

Ecklers lists a soft nose replacement, and a hard nose.

Generally speaking, what success has been observed with the replacement different noses, and is one type particularly better than the other?

If Flight judging is your goal, neither will do the trick. You'll need to find an original urethane piece (none being repo'd at this point)

If you're not interested in judging, the flexible piece is the better choice. The hard piece will crack the first time the car taps another object.
