Thanks Roger. I thought I remembered it being some time around the latter part of 73 which would be correct for the new 74 released in Sept 73. This must not be a judged item as there would be two correct answers. One for early unmodified cars and another for later design without that system.

The whole 'saga' is documented in the NCRS 1973-77 Performance Verification Test Guide... The write up is longer than I wish to quote, but all '74 and very early '75 Corvettes are judged for a fully functional seat belt interlock system. Then, later '75 Corvettes (VIN number sequence defined based on GM Service Bulletin 75-I-3) are judged differently (components there, but non-functional) until the system was deleted from production... -

Ok, that makes sense and I agree with the ruling. So, any car built prior to the factory date of change that has been modified would then be considered "non original". I suppose there are a lot of "pre change date" cars that have had the wiring reconnected for judging.Comment
