Unfortunately I was never able to get the Allens RH tailpipe on my 62. The old one came off with a little finagleing and I ended up putting it back on and using it. When I drop my rear axle I will install the Allens pipe.

Re: Allens fit My car great
I had Allen side pipes on my '67 BB but they were too loud and it caused a PV failure. I replaced them with a NOS pair and then passed the PV. The difference is with the inner baffle. The originals were 1 1/2" and the repos are 2" which make them a lot louder.
So bottom-line, the point deduction is minor for a set of Aluminized repo sidepipes for flight judging but if you plan on passing a PV you may want to look for NOS or something similar.- Top
