Need info on 63 tachometers. There's a prior post that mentions the colors on the redline and we'd like to get a point in production where this change occured.
The first design high redline buzzer tach had different colors than the later released 2nd design. The 1st design would have had the two colors somewhere near red to maroon. The 2nd design used colors in the range of yellow to orange or orange to red. it was not a subtle difference so if you have a 1st design. it will look quite different than a 2nd design.
The low redline 63 tach always used the yellow/red colors without change tghroughout the year.
I believe all restored tach's have been done in one pair of colors so there won't be any usable info from these.
I know there are a lot of original early and late cars out there so please submit info (Helene??) I have one of each color style in my two cars, one early and one late. Thanks.
