67 brt. blue dash color

I have a June built 67 roadster with bright blue interior. The dash is darker than the dash pads. Dupont lists 9223 bright blue and 9282 Drk. bright blue for the flat interior color. Ditzler # for the Drk. is 13228. I went with the darker color and it matched the underside of speaker grill etc. Our local expert Larry Alley tells me there is not supposed to be a contrast in pad and speaker grill-dash blue. Can someone tell me when Brt. Blue and Dark bright blue were used on the dash and should there be a contrast?

Some of the contrast could be due to fading? My 67 that was built in March of 67 has "brigh blue" interior and some of the parts seem somewhat different to me in shade. Some of my interior has been replaced though so?

There is a marked difference in the colors of the center dash and pads. The center is the dark bright blue color with low gloss. Also the carpet is much darker than the carpet of some suppliers.

Chuck ---- Are you positive your car initially had bright blue interior? From the description, it sounds like the medium blue color that came with white/blue interior. When restoring my '67 (Marina blue with white/blue interior), medium blue carpet was only available from ACC ... I went with Al Knock and got bright blue instead.

I'm sure it was bright blue I have the build sheet and I know everything in the interior was original but thanks for the thought.
