Re: Do you mean one that looks like this one?

Joe...Richard Childress has a 57 Black Widow in his museum in Welcome, North Carolina. I do not know of it's history.

      SEDCO group

      Mike / Louis

At a million dollars a pop..they will start showing up! Finding a real one is another issue.

Here is part of the original group of guys.

Bob Clift, Fred Warner & Mackenzie at GM wrote Chevrolet Engineering workorders to send cars to Vince Piggins to be developed NASCAR ready. Cars were also ordered to go to Rush Chevrolet in Gardena, Ca. which was the West Coast operation.

Smokey had the contract to build the engines...and threatened to quit unless Vince got the top Job..

The FI Blackwidow Chevy program was short lived..as Bill France Sr. decided not to allow fuel injection.

Louis..it would be interesting to see the Childress car you speak of. I have a complete unopened unrestored 57 FI Black Widow SEDCO motor in my garage...in a 15,000 mile 54 Corvette...parked in '67.

      Joe
