Does anyone know where I can get a heat shield for a 67 435 intake manifold either used or reproduction? It is the piece that is riveted to the underside of the manifold. Mine is MIA. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don

Don-----
The heat shield is long-since GM discontinued. Many of these shields had very specific configurations to "match" the manifold, so finding a used example might be difficult. However, the shield off of any big block manifold could likely be modified to be finctional (which is all that really matters). I know of no source that currently markets these shields in the reproduction market. However, you MAY be in luck.
Very recently, these manifolds have come on the market in reproduction. The reproduction manifolds have an attached shield. The shields that I have seen on them are not exactly like the originals, but they are 100% functional (which, again, is all that matters). If you could locate the MANUFACTURING source for these manifolds, perhaps they would sell you just the shield. I believe that the Camaro source, "Hearbeat City", is one of the folks that sell these manifolds and MAY be the distributor with knowledge of the manufacturer. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thanks Joe, A friend of mine who was down at the Florida show two weeks ago said he saw the vendor there that was selling the new repro manifolds but he could not remember their name. This is exactly what I was thinking and was hoping that someone would know who this manufacturer is. I will let you know what I find out.- Top
