I was looking on Ebay yesterday. I was looking to see what project cars are going for and low behold my old 57 is up for sale. Notice the crossed flags in the coves. Those flags were on the car when I got the old POS in Oklahoma. Regardless of what the JG states I decided to leave them. For proof,I have a copy of the title I got from the previous owner from Oklahoma. It is the same VIN, etc.. 2 years ago, unknown to me while I was at Carlisle, the man I sold the car to from Ohio, brought it to Carlisle to sell. Proteam bought it from him before it was off his trailer. Again, before it was off the trailer the current owner bought it from Proteam. I have always wondered what Proteam made on the car in a matter of minutes. I was told this by the current owner. Have you heard this before: I shouldn't have sold that car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/57-Co...QQcmdZViewItem Thanks Dick Gutman

Dick,
Nice car! I have to agree with something Geoffrey Coenen said a while back about 56-57 2X4 being the coolest looking small block Chevrolet engines ever produced. Definitely in the top five.- Top

Re: My old 57 is for sale on EBAY!
I think that might be the car we judged at McDormans last fall, if so it was the third try (and third failure) at a top flight attempt by Pro-Team on the car, very pretty, but a long way from a correct restoration. I wonder who the lucky chapter was that gave then a Top Flight pass? At the time we saw it, it had not been changed any to make improvements from the previous judging experiences.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: My old 57 is for sale on EBAY!
I sold the car to a man from Ohio while I was at Bloomington to sell the car. The car went to the East coast from it's carlisle sale. I painted the car in PPG Lacquer. I repaired in excess of 2000 stress cracks throughout. I could show what the car looked like when I bought it. It was my first attempt of restoring a corvette. Also according to the (current owner?) Proteam owned this car for only a few minutes before selling. So Bill I doubt it's the same car. A Mr.Weigman bought the car from Proteam who bought it from Bruce Westphal. I am not certain who owns it now. Dick Gutman- Top
