69 Headlight Bezels

i'm missing the headlight bezels on my march 29th 1969 convertible. i want to get the correct one, could someone tell me what squirter location i need? also, are there specific squirters for 69 or are they all the same for all 69-72?

Only 1969s and very early '70s had the washers. I do not think there was but one design for the holes--one near the top and one on the lower part. Nozzles pointed to the low beam light.

There are actually 2 different locations for the headlamp squirter nozzles. I believe that 1969 used the vertical face of the pot metal bezel for the 1st design, second design had lower squirter nozzle location on bottom horizontal ledge of bezel.

Reba it is intresting that you mention that very early 70's had washers. My original owner July 8th built 70 has the washers for the low beams.

The low beams were the only ones that ever had the washers. The high beams were "washerless". The low beams should have been, too. This crazy gadget might be the single most difficult obstacle to conquer for anyone with a 69-70 so-equipped and wanting to have their car "perfomance verified".

This was one of the most idiotic ideas that Chevrolet ever had. Mercifully, it didn't last too long.

thanks everyone, i've saw both of these type bezels at swap meets, and even a third type in an assembly manual. the one in the manual had one in the top horizontal and one in the bottom horizontal, but i don't think that there is room for a squirter in the top horizontal and i've never saw one. i think the correct one for me is one vertical and one horizontal.

i agree with you joe, even if they are working, you go from dirty headlights to wet dirty headlights.
