Thanks, Rob. I was able to add my car very easily and quickly. I look forward to seeing the registry grow.

Birthday calculator seems a little off for my '69 (22704), returned June 7, 1969. I think the strike lasted a little longer? My trim tag shows K23, if I remember correctly, for June 23.

I know it will be a useful resource, thanks for carrying the full burden.

I've checked the birthday function and indeed there was a problem in the strike & part shortage dates exclusion. This has been corrected now.

There is a fault in the interior codes for 1968. My car has 414 which is for medium blue vinyl. The forum shows medium blue with leather in brackets.
Medium blue leather should be code 415.

I would like to add our cars to their respective registries, but I'm a little hesitant. I don't have a lot of faith in internet security. I'm always hearing about viruses or someone stealing identity etc. I notice that several owners did not give their names or locations. Does this indicate problems in the past or just paranoia like me? I think the registry is a good idea, I just don't want some unscrupulos person to find out how many cars we have and decide to make a 'visit'.

Ken,

To prevent the nightmare which you describe indeed you could choose not to include any crudentials. I recently changed the working of the registry slightly to reduce the information displayed so:

* owner address, postal code and telephone number are only shown when the car is marked for sale or if you are the owner of the car (and logged in)

Further more we took all kind of precausions to ensure the site and datbase is secure. It is up to you to decide if you want to publish your cars and what level of information you add to the cars listing.
