C2 chassis black spray paint

I am looking for chassis black paint in a spray can thats is like the original black. Can someone help me.

There was no one black paint used for all chassis components. There were a variety of different "blacks" use for different pieces. The frame "paint", itself, was not paint, at all---it was a black, thin, asphaltic coating. You can still purchase this, but it's not very durable.

I have found that the best REAL paint to use on a frame to replace the above is a product called DeRusto Semi-Gloss Black. I don't know if this paint is available anymore as I bought a supply some time ago that should last me for the duration. This paint has the right degree of gloss for me and it's also a slow drying, high solids paint that imparts a very durable finish.

Quanta Products has available a whole series of black paints for chassis restoration. These include 5 degrees of gloss which pretty well covers the whole gamut of chassis finishes.

Some folks have expressed great liking of a product called John Deere Blitz Black for chassis restoration. I've never used it, though. If I were to walk into a John Deere dealer around here (all are John Deere construction equipment dealers) and ask for a can of Blitz Black, I expect that they'd look at me like I was crazy.
