              Thanks for the pics Paul!

It's interesting to see what the end of the C3 era looked like in St. Louis and some of the differences compared to the early production like the natural finnish on the balljoint end of the control arms and the dull, sort of pale black paint that was used on the frame.

Those were neat pics. Does anyone know of any books that might show the line from circa 1970? Thank you. Mark

Chevrolet produced a booklet every year called "The Chevrolet Story". They did this for several years in the '60s and I'm not sure how long they produced it. It was available at the plants as part of the school tours, etc.

In them, they show current models, current models on the production lines, prototype models, and give a history of Chevrolet. They were very interesting reading.

Occasionally, you can find one, however, I have only seen a couple on eBay and they went insane as you can imagine.

No, because judging isn't on "out-the-factory-door" condition. I believe that is Bloomington Gold's (NCCB) standard. NCRS is something like "out-the-dealer's-door, factory-options-only" condition, thus no plastic on the seats, no foam on the bumpers, etc.

If you look carefully, you will notice that you don't see any workers. This must have been taken after hours or a non-work day. They must be real Chevrolet pictures to get in then, since cameras were prohibited.

They are much clearer and obviously well-aimed than mine as I had to keep my cameras hidden.

                          I'm pretty sure this picture

was in Corvette News back then. However, previous issues of Corvette News that had production pictures often had the workers in the pictures.
