69 Roaster - Hard top

Can someone tell me if the hard top for a 1969 roaster should be painted or covered in vinyl? Any suggestions on where to purchase replacement vinyl?

1969 dealer order shows hardtop as option code C07 as painted and C08 as black and only black vinyl. Hope this helps. I have no info on where to get the proper vinly material. GL

The vinyl covering was used on MANY of GM's cars (simulated soft top, Etc.) for a long period of time. Just about any local auto upholstery shop can get the material with correct original texture and install it for you. Expect the cost to be about the same as having a painter strip and re-shoot the hardtop to match your car...

You would need your orginal Corvette Order Copy document, an original window invoice or Car Shipper document or dealer sales invoice to be able to know if your car was originally ordered with the optional vinyl roof covered hardtop.
