    '63 - Ammeter Reversed

    I just finished putting my '63 back together and fired her up for the first time yesterday. The ammeter reads in reverse!! When charging, it deflects to the left and when discharging, it deflects to the right!!! The battery is connected correctly; negative ground and the ammeter connector only goes on one way... The entire gauge set was restored by Corvette Clocks...

    Any ideas???

      I can't tell you how it got that way, but I can tell you how to fix it.

      Remove the two wires from the plastic terminal on the back and switch them. You have to depress the retaining tab on the top of each brass female connector before it will slide out of the rear of the plastic terminal.
