Battery box panel in wheel well

My early 66 427/425 has the LH battery box panel in the wheel well still in place, does anyone else have an early 66 bb with the panel there? I know this was a feature of the 65 BB not 66 but it is there. My vin # is in the early 3000's. Just curious.

This is also a feature of cars with AC. Do you have AC in yours? (Even though 425 hp shouldn't.) Or maybe AC was in it with a small block and someone made it a 425 hp instead for the bigger bucks?

OK, My first question is. The panel is there, is the battery there?

What you have is the probability of having a 66 with 65 inner fender skirts because its early one. With out looking at it, or the front end was changed or just the skirt. Phil 8063
