    C1 Upper Window Stops

    The bolts which have a disc on the end which holds the rubber bumpers for the upper window stops screw into an upper plate on the door. Concerning a 1957 Corvette, are these plates painted or not? If painted, are they painted body color? It seems to me that the factory would have installed these plates after the car had been painted. Thanks for any information that you can provide. Wayne

      Wayne, It is my understanding...

      ...and belief that this area was shot with blackout after body paint - basically a visual hiding of body color.
