Carbs are 2626S and 2627S WCFB originals. I can do the rebuilding myself, but not the Dichromate and the replating of the arms and levers. Also my carbs are missing the air valves over the secondaries. These are the butterflies with the weight that only open up when there is enough air flow.
Also the now open hole for those butterfly shafts was enlarged and threaded for a screw in plug. So the carb bowl body needs a repair there to make it look right. It would work fine as is, only the ugly enlarged threaded holes would be visible behind the weight. By the way, this came off a 1958 Vette stock 283 Powerglide, the owner said it bogged bad with any amount of throttle.
I am considering Bob Kunz and Custom Rebuilt Carbs in New Jersey. Any one care to offer advice on this, or have another suggestion. The basic restoration charge is about $325.
