1961 exhaust manifolds---mike mccagh?

Can someone tell me if my '61 283/245 exhaust manifolds have exhaust gaskets or do they just meet metal to metal with the block?

NO Corvette V-8 engine originally used gaskets between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head until the first use of the "tubular header" type manifolds for the 1980 LG4. So, for ANY 1955 to 1979 Corvette V-8 engine, the answer is that NO exhaust manifold-to-head gaskets were originally used.
