Hi everyone, especially y'all ol' timers here. It's been a while, eh?
Anyway, there have been a number of plastique fantistique's in our driveway since I was on here last, but the most recent is a '78 (keep the year in memory for future reference) we picked up so cheap we did it just for the purpose of resale. Of course it needed a little TLC, so that's what I set out to do.
The previous owner kept the car in decent condition as a daily driver, and the carpet was in good shape except for fading since the car stayed outside. Since we're reselling the car, I decided to just dye the carpet instead of replacing it.
OK. I'll cut to the chase. I removed the rear compartment doors and took off the frame work to remove the carpet to spray it. What I found on the door on the driver's side just blew me away. It's a page out of a newspaper or magazine article that's titled "How Militant Lesbians Worry The Woman's Movement". My first thought is that it's a plant by a previous owner, and that could possibly be the case still. However, what really messes me up is that the date of the article is 9/18/1977. I haven't checked the build date of the car yet, but the fact it's a '78 and the article is dated '77 is just freakin' odd. Any input?
