Carpet padding

Hi All

I'm getting ready to install my carpeting in my 62 vette, which was a complete body off resto.Never had any in there when I bought the car. My question is. Is there supposed to be a padding under the carpet? Or just the carpet only.If there is a pad, does it get glued to the floor? Does the carpet get glued also? Whats the best adhesive to use for this?

Re: Carpet padding

No pad other than the foam on the back of the carpet. Minimial glue, corners have screws. The location is shown in the JM if you don't see the holes in the floor.
