    60 Hi-Po oil pan late

Reading the spot welds when on the engine will give it away as original and correct.
Where is the Manufacturer's identification appear?

          oil pan

Looks like per the print they got permission to not have the manufacturers code. It was made inside GM so not coee needed?

Not by the prints I have , only Corvette, but Chevy cars also could be ordered Hi-Po or FI when I worked for Chevy I saw many that were.
I think because of the Corvette steering lingage may be that's why.

                  Mike-----

The GM #3769761 pan was used only for 1961 and 1962 Corvettes with mechanical lifter engines. For 1962, all Corvettes received pan GM #3789629 and, in October, 1961, this pan also became the SERVICE pan for ALL 1957-61 Corvettes.

The GM #3735642 pan was NEVER available in SERVICE. It was SERVICED by GM #3736615. I don't know how this pan differed, if at all, from the 3735642. However, I believe that the 3736615 was, basically, a truck application pan that was used to SERVICE Corvette applications. It was the same configuration as the Corvette pan, but had a fitting in the side for some truck-oriented requirement. So, for SERVICE, it was used for Corvette, too. The 3736615 later became GM #3789632, GM #3794060, and 360867. I know, for sure, that the 3794060 had the side fitting and I think that the predecessor and successor pans did, too.

The truck application pans were used only for certain series 40, 50, and 60 trucks and NOT for light trucks of series 10, 30, and 40.

Hate to disagree, but this trap door pan was never

                      used on 1962 Corvettes.

I erred in the first line of my response. It should have read that the 3769761 pan was used for mechanical lifter 1960 and 1961 Corvettes. The following line is correct: the 3789629 was used for all 1962 Corvettes and replaced the 3769761 for SERVICE of 60-61 applications.
