Rocker Molding Color for an 1982

I have a 1982 Collector Edition. The Rocker Moldings have acquired a fair amount of rock chips over the years and need refinishing. Two questions/help requeste:

1. What is the actual color? The originals appear to be a very dark brown.
2. Were do you get the paint?

Some type of questions for the fan.

Actually, I think that the rocker panels were satin black. As far as I know, they were the same for all 1981-82 Corvettes, 82 Collector's Edition, or otherwise. What you may be seeing is some "show through" of the substrate red primer used on these panels. After much wear-and-tear the satin black becomes thin and the primer shows through, making the panel appear dark brown.

I don't know where to get the exact color used originally.
