    1967 427/390 vacuum advance

Can anyone please tell me which vacuum advance is correct for my 390 hp automatic trans car? Some vendors list the #355 for early 1967's and some list the #360. I have a January car. The one I pulled out was a B26. The car "pings" at low rpm.

    Thanks,
    Steve

It's possible that the GM #1115355 was used on some very early 1967's. However, if you have a distributor of GM #1111247 (standard ignition), GM #1111248 (transistor ign) or GM #1111294 (transistor ignition and unlikely), then you should have a GM #1111360 vacuum control. The latter control is GM-discontinued but available from NAPA parts stores under NAPA # VC-680.
