Sidepipes are not noted on the window sticker, exhaust manifolds are smog-ready, not the '67 style, for starters.Bill Clupper #618- Top

The hood (in addition to being WAY too shiny on the back) appears to be reproduction based on the 427 numeral placement.

Re: EBAY #4599453434 The Real Deal???
As long as we're picking on it...the radiator, or atleast the top plate, is not original. It does not have the small square and round cutouts. This is an example of a car being sold by someone other than the owner, so they can always claim they "didn't know" when any disrepencies arise. Regarding the missing a.i.r. equipment...I wish the new owner good luck trying to find it, if they choose to, and hope they have deep pockets.- Top

Re: EBAY #4599453434 The Real Deal???
I have a '67 Vin 9608, this car is 9373 and the number on the tank sticker is 371, I do not have the tank sticker for mine but on the body of my car it is #370. They are 235 cars apart, but one one sequence number. My car has been setting for 25 years and I haven't even started restoring it yet. My body build date is G01, his is F26. My engine assembley date is 1-11-67, his is 12-16-66. I'm not trying to pass off a black, 435hp on ebay. Am I to assume that the sequence numbers shold be approximately 235 numbers apart? Something's not right with this car.

Look at the second picture on the top, about says it all on a discussion we were having last week. Although NCRS is used on the back of the car and in close up pictures I see no mention of the car beeing judged? Can't read the doc's Lancaster had military all over the place in the 60's. Edwards Air Force base is close by. I have a 710 5 pad and this car at 710 9 looks like it the 710 was getting worn. Lot's of new parts, could you Top Flight with out the A.I.R system?

Re: EBAY #4599453434 The Real Deal???
While I am no expert on pads by a long shot, whenever these discussions come up I like to save the photo of the pad into my photo page. From there I can enlarge it as much as I want to. More of a self-teaching lesson than anything.
When I do that to this pad, there appears to be some shadowing under the numbers 7, 1, and 9. Maybe one other too. In addition, the 3s appear to be canted slightly? Is is just the angle of the photo or are the 7s too tall?
Again, when enlarged significantly, the grain appears to not be perfectly longitudinal. This could be because of the angle of the photo.
Regardless of all this Sherlock Holmes stuff, it IS a beautiful car. Anybody want to loan me some money for a Christmas present?
