oh just spend the money an get one of them NOS ones are a good beat up one. you only live once, heck it is just money.

I have an original coil in the car currently. I have been acquiring extra mechanical pieces (mostly NOS), just in case of a failure down the road. Money wasn't the issue, just the condition. Hard to know what a used coil's life expectancy is, not knowing the life history behind it.
Hard to fathom why these coils would be removed in the first place, unless a problem arose. Can't see why these coils would be in such bad appearance, since once they are mounted and stationary in the bracket, there would be no need to touch or remove them. -
a lot of TI systems were replaced because
the "box" went bad and of course the coil needed to be changed if you went to a points system. the outer can on a coil is not very heavy and i bet a lot of these TI coils were just thrown into a drawer and got eveyting else thrown on top of it.Comment

some of these coils had the number at the bottom
of the case and with careful placement the bracket will cover the number.Comment
