-------Dick was a good guy and ran a tight dealership. I used to buy a bunch of thier used stuff and take it down the street to our hole-in-the-wall dealer and try to make a buck or two. He used to sponser the Cape Cod Corvette Club and we had shows on his property. I still have pics of some of those shows.........Bill S

That's Dick! We had the opportunity to talk at length one day when he came up from the Cape to visit another son, Jay. I had the car with me, of course, and Dick was once again DELIGHTED.
That night in 1963 when the car arrived, Dick grabbed Jay and ran down to the dealership. He was so excited, he tossed Jay in, no plates, and the two of them went for a little joy ride around town.
They ended up stuck in a corn field!
Jay told me that he got so scared from that ride, that he refused to get near another Corvette for many years thereafter!
Meanwhile, Dick couldn't sell these "damaged goods" and ended up buying the car himself - the original owner.
