Gotta be a fraudulent listing. He wants correspondence directed outside of E Bay channels saying his E Bay box is full and it says buy it now, but no buy it now option is attached. I sent E Bay a possible fraud question. It'll be interesting to see if the listing gets pulled. They probably stole the guy's info. through one of those "you must update your E Bay account now" scams.

There are a lotta *****s stealing with E Bay and PayPal. They manipulate a message to look like it came from one of those two and e mail it to the whole world. They don't have specific targets since there are so many people registered with both. The messages ask people to click on a link to update their info because it's been lost or rejected by their credit card company. Of course the link is bogus and the identity, passwords and credit card info is then stolen. They not only use the e bay name for bogus listings to steal money, but the credit card also.

I've reported probably a dozen suspected car type scams to E Bay and they've pulled every one. Another thing they'll always pull now is when somebody advertises a title and vin number plate for sale. I reported one of those listings several years ago and got a response from E Bay that there was no fraud involved, hence no reason to pull it. I wrote back that it was a violation of Federal law to remove and sell the vin tag from a vehicle and that a common use was as a tool to disguise a stolen vehicle. They went back and pulled that auction and every one I've seen since without comment.

Well at least in some circles they are trying to do the right thing.

What's the best way to report those auctions without having to click through 25 screens and finally finding a page that only allows you to enter the auction number with no comments or text?

Security and resolution center at bottom of main page
Check "report another problem" then click box that says the same
#1 box......4 thing down in the box that opens is "report a listing violation"... click it
#2 box..... fraudulent listings, 5th item down.....click it
#3 box......7th thing down, report a listing that you think is fraudulent....click it

                  Hit continue at bottom

Next page is contact us. It has a place for the item number and an E mail allowing for detailed description.

                  They acknowledge receipt immediately.
