Discussino Board Access

For the last three evenings, 9:00 PM E.S.T. I have not been able to access the Discussion Board, has anyone else been experiencing this problem or do I need to call MY server, in a way I almost hope it is me.

Jerry --- Yes, once, recently, I was unable to get on at all, and I've noticed lagging response time when clicking on headers, etc., depending on the time of day. I believe that even our new server is having trouble with the tremendous increase in use of this board; seems like double the daily postings as ever before. And I'm using cable modem; other websites are normal (fast) speed.

Hi Wayne;

Same here in relation to speed. During the periods that I can't access the board I receive the site found waiting for reply message, ( I.E. 5.0 ) but it times out repeatedly.

I had the same thing about 9:00 PM EST Monday night- right in the middle of our Chapter Tech session. It was OK half an hour later.

Once again we are a victim of our own success!

Yes, right now (wednesday eve) is the first time in three days I've been able to access the Board.

Jerry-I've had no problems,white screens or others since the new server went up.I think your problem may be your trying to reach the Italian version,Discussino,i don't it's as stable as the U.S. version. ;) Lou

All of Wednesday evening all I could get was "Internal Server Error " message, all other sites were working correctly, Beam me up Scotty, we have a problem.

Wednesday night there was a problem with the script. I was doing some maintenance that does put a drag on the server for awhile. I later got a note that the board was down. Somehow permissions had gotten changed on the main script. I am going to have to assume it had to do with the maintenance that I was doing because it happened at about the same time. I don't think the server has been a problem.

Jerry and others that have a problem at about 9:00 P.M... are probably just running into the internet log-jam that occurs every night about that time. You can try to check the server at http://209.15.96.123/index.html This will at least tell you that the server is up and running. My e-mail address is at the bottom of the page too. So send me a note if you find the board down.
