3931063 heads date ?

hi guys
is it possible that 2 3931063 cylinder heads on the same engine be
dated 1 month apart ??

or ..... what would be the right time gap between both heads ??

Cylinder head castings were pulled at 'random' from inventory storage and sent down the line to build into finished head assemblies. When finished they went to another inventory storage location where they'd be pulled to feed the engine final assy line. There was no FIFO/LIFO control of inventory at either location (raw casting stock or finished sub-assy stock). That's why NCRS uses a 6-month rule (some exceptions) on dated components--it was all in the luck of the draw from inventory!

Jack is repeatedly correct about the absence of a FIFO/LIFO policy during assembly. Besides, NCRS does not judge cylinder head dates since it would involve removal of the valve covers thereby requiring new gaskets.
