    1967 POP Decoding

Is there an on-line resource for providing information on decoding the option codes on a POP for a '67 Coupe? Thanks in advance, Mark

The sequences (by line, holarith field) and table of codes is in your copy of the Assembly Instruction Manual...

Thanks Jack, now if I had an assembly manual for a '67 Corvette, I'd be all set

Can anyone that has a manual at home tell me what A00314W stands for under the VIN stamping on the POP? Thanks, Mark

          Mark,
That location is for the rear axle. I am not sure of this and stand to be corrected, so here it goes: AO=3.70:1 rear end, 0314 = March 14, W= Warren plant. Hope this helps.

Thanks Rick, that makes total sense given the build dates etc.

Does the other info regarding options ALWAYS show up on the POP like A/C, PW, AM/FM, and PS? If so, where? This car has those items, but they do not appear to be on the POP anywhere - I'm used to Camaro POP's and they list these items??? Thanks for any help provided, Mark.

              Mark,
No, those items are not put on a Corvette POP. Starting at the top left corner is the interior code, alongside that is the exterior code. Directly below that is the engine code that is on the engine stamp pad. Below that is the trans code along with the date code. Then over to the right side, the single letter after the VIN is the carb source. Directly below that is a single letter code for the month of the vehicle build.

Thanks Rick. All of those things are there and they line up perfectly with the car. I thought the other options were also listed on the POP???

                  Not on Corvette.

                    Re: 1967 POP Decoding

There's an "Addenda" section in the back of Noland's Vol. II book that has all the decode tables for midyear POP's.

Corvette POP's don't have option codes (like Camaros do); just component codes.

Thanks John. That's partially what threw me off because he lists the various POP positions (like with a Camaro) for the various options but doesn't show them on the sample POP or list what the various codes would be. Mark
