I have acquired a set of mag wheels that I would like some help identifying. The front are 15X8.5 and the rear are 15X10. They are a slotted mag type wheel, simular to the ET slots. The only thing written on the back side is the sizes allready mentioned and JAPAN and a part number?, the fronts are 8005. Any help would be appreciated. If they are good enough to use I'm looking for centercaps. Thank you, Corky

Re: mag wheel identification
Corky,
You did not mention what year Corvette these wheels were going on. I don't recall any wheel with "Japan" on it ever coming on any Corvette from the factory. At 10" in width good luck getting the rear wheels on any stock Corvette built up to about 1982. As for the center caps, they are probably the type that install from the rear of the wheel and are held on by the hub when you bolt on the wheel. You should be able to find them at any discount auto parts store for a few bucks each.- Top
