    F41 Rear Sway Bar - Detailing/Painting_

I removed the rear sway bar from my 1966 big block car. I'm going to clean and detail the components that make up the sway bar and mounting brackets. My question is: How should the parts be detailed? What is left natural and what getting painted? What color paint and is it glossy or semi-flat? Does anyone have a nice close up photo the this area with the correct details? Thanks Ken

    Ken -

Dunno about the '66 JG, but the '67 JG describes it in detail:

Bar - natural grayish forged appearance
Bushing brackets at frame - semi-gloss black
    Links - semi-gloss black
Link brackets at trailing arm - semi-gloss black
Fasteners - all zinc except nut plate at trailing arm (natural).

      John and Ken------

66 was the same as 67. The original finish of the bar, itself, is nearly impossible to duplicate.
