Is the chrome surround that is on the inside of the glove box door painted? or does it show on the inside like it does on the outside of the glove box door on a 65 vette? I forgot,and did not take pictures of the glove box before I started to restore it, old age I guess. Thanks in advance. Floyd

My orignal GB door shows preened rivet heads painted black matching the door's interior finish with 'subtle' overspray on outside edge of inner chrome strip but a pretty darn close to 'perfect' mask around the inside chrome.... -

Thanks Jack for the response,so are you saying that the inner chrome is painted so you can't see the chrome on the inside and that the outside edge of the chrome is not painted like the front? Thanks again, FloydComment

No, I said the inside door panel was painted AFTER assembly (hence coverage on the preened over rivet heads) and for the most part, the inner edge showed chrome, but the 'mask' (or wipe after paint) was imperfect as 'minor' black could be seen in isolated spots.Comment
