C2 F41 suspension rear leaf spring color

The 1966 Judging Guide says the rear leaf spring is painted a light gray semi gloss. Can anyone give more specific example of what the light gray should be.

    Henry-----

The spring leaves were coated on the tension (lower) surface with Ionoklad coating. Some of the coating often dripped or otherwise covered the side surfaces of the leaves which, with the exception of the lower surface of the bottom leaf, is the only part that can really be seen when the spring is assembled and installed in the car.

As far as the color goes, it's a very light gray. You can get the EXACT same Ionoklad coating in a pint can from Quanta Products. Applied with a brush, you will be sure you have the right color. And, you'll have the right coating.
