65 C2 Door W/strip

On the outer door main window w/strip, my old ones were stapled to the S/S trim. The new strips-should they be stapled or do the screws actually hold them on (with help from adhesive?)It doesn't look too clear in the AIM

You will need the staples. Use a drill with a 1/16" bit and drill through the old holes in the stainless. I put a peice of wood on the rubber. It give you something solid to drill into and the saw dust outlines the hole in the rubber so you can locate it. Push the staples through and use a pair of pliers to fold the staples over.

Thanks Bob, it was really buggin' me. The NOS ones I bought 2-3 years ago had no holes for anything in them. I suspect I got beat on this deal as they came boxed, assume someone had switched 'em. Thanks again
